BOOK FAIR AUSTRALIA is to take place at the Sydney Showground, 26-27 November 2022. The fair is an excellent initiative by the organizers. For one thing, Australia has not had a book fair for years. Second, more importantly, the fair will showcase the enormous development – even revolution – in publishing that has taken place during the last twenty years. As the organizers say, ‘Book Fair Australia is a new book festival. It celebrates books of all genres as well as providing a platform for authors of both traditional and independent publishers to connect with readers.’
The fair presents an outstanding opportunity to show that the independent publishing sector (self-publishing) is not the vanity publishing of the past. Experienced Indie publishers run a publishing business like traditional publishers. Fix the date for a visit to this first book fair of its sort. I will be there with a stall displaying my books.
