Latest Omega Writer's Newsletter

Immediately below is an email from Annie Hamilton with details of the latest Zaphon, the newsletter of the Omega Writers Association. Last October I made a comment on the problems Christian writers face and recommended the excellent initiative Annie Hamilton and the Omega Writer's Association have undertaken. The links to Zaphon April 2010 and Zaphon August 2009 follow the email.

Hello writers and aspiring writers!

This issue of Zaphon has information on the brand new CALEB Prize for fiction, non-fiction and poetry as well as our new mentorship programme - there's support for both published and unpublished writers through these two new initiatives. Please feel free the details to pass it on to anyone you know who might be interested. There are heaps of other events coming up, in both Qld and SA.

Please note the opening dates for entries in the CALEB Prize and the mentorship programmes - and if you would like to ask questions, do so then. (This is because I'm off to Ireland, so all you'll get is 'top o' the morning' on my answering machine!)

The next Omegas meeting will be on Sunday April 11 at our new venue: St Francis College at Milton. The topic will be one that is essential for every writer these days: a marketing plan. The venue is very close to both train and bus stations, with ample parking in the grounds.

Thanks to Wendy for her input into this issue.
