Radio 3AW's Neil Mitchell preaches to Cardinal Pell about humility - can you believe it?

Neil Mitchell's anti-Catholic neurosis continues to operate at a high level. Pontificating is something Mitchell does not have to learn. He opened his program this morning with a recommendation to the Pope to get on his knees and apologise to a victim of clerical sexual abuse. It would make a great symbol, a great photo op, he thought. All this is related in the usual facetious manner he adopts when talking about the hierarchy of the Church.

Following this gratuitous Mitchellian prescription, the Pope, he went on, "should sort out Cardinal George Pell as well, 'cause George Pell needs to be shown just how to handle this, and a lesson in humility would be a good start."

I repeat, can you believe it? This puffed-up media figure who uses his microphone position to promote his personal likes and dislikes (probably after a heavy night on the red) preaches humility to others!

It's a mad world.
