Prime Minister guilty! He forgets the name of a Liberal MP!

By 3 pm today it was being reported widely (and gleefully) on TV and radio that Prime Minister John Howard, during a morning interview on ABC radio Tasmania, forgot the name of the Tasmanian Liberal candidate for the federal seat of Franklin. Opposition leader, Kevin Rudd, has said to his great credit that it could happen to anyone - which everyone knows is the truth. It will be interesting to see who runs with this trivial faux-pas, and if it bites.

The smear campaign against John Howard is already well underway at high revs. May be with Keating's spiteful slanderous tongue setting the pace the Howard haters will leave something aside that they would have latched onto twelve months ago. We'll see.
