The destruction of the Governor-General, Dr Peter Hollingworth – Evil has its day

Dr Peter Hollingworth was appointed to the office of Governor-General in 2001. He came to that office highly respected and admired, and with an illustrious public career behind him. Much had been written in praise of Dr Hollingworth before he took up the office of Governor-General. The following passage is just one sample of that praise appearing in books, magazines and newspapers:

Peter Hollingworth has spent his life trying to promote social justice – trying to find ways to make life fairer for all members of society, especially the poor and the disadvantaged...
Peter Hollingworth became head of the Brotherhood of St Lawrence in 1980. He came to know the poor and disadvantaged of inner-Melbourne closely. He did not go out and just preach fiery sermons condemning society's treatment of the poor. Instead he tirelessly carried out work to help the poor and disadvantaged by organising welfare services and accommodation. He tried to change society itself by lobbying State and Federal Governments for more services and assistance to the poor.
Peter was what we could call an 'activist' priest – a priest who was out there helping in every way possible. His life and work within the Anglican church was rewarded with his appointment as Archbishop of Brisbane in 1989. The admiration he had earned from all sections of Australian society led to him being appointed Governor-General of Australia in 2001.

This passage appeared in a book written by an Australian and published in Australia in 2002 for young people between the ages of seven and twelve years (Australian of the Year 1990-2001,  R. Hillman, Echidna Books, Melbourne, 2002)

Today people in positions of influence and ordinary people on the street are saying about Dr Hollingworth that 'people like that are not fit to be Governor-General' and that he is 'not suitable for the office of Governor-General'. How did this come about? What happened in the last twelve months? The answer is simple and indisputable.

It came about because Australian society is at the mercy of an evil media run by evil people to pursue commercial and ideological objectives - ideological objectives to the extent they serve commercial goals. It came about because the evil media run by evil people gave unlimited space to every outrageous accusation, distortion, misrepresentation and lie propagated by deluded drooling fanatics, unconscionable political manipulators, cynical grandstanders, bitter anti-Christian bigots and people who see the opportunity to extort money out the churches.

As I write this some of these people are now targeting the Prime Minister with the smear and accusation that he is harbouring a person who harboured paedophiles and condoned paedophilia.

Mourn Australia, mourn for the injustice daily perpetrated by the untouchables.
