Western leftists help radical Islam in its war against the West
I find it difficult to decide whether it is a morbid delusion or a lying treachery that motivates people of the Left. No doubt in many cases it is pure delusion, an expression of a psychopathology that has infected the decaying West, an attitude of mind that for some mysterious reason induces people to hate all they and their society stand for. Who can explain this self-disgust, this self-loathing, and the political objectives it breeds? I cannot. I observe it, see that it is a reality, but I cannot explain it. It goes against my every intuition, every attempt to rationalise it.
Radical Islam gets up a transparent military/propaganda exercise against Israel, providing all manner of props and propaganda channels for the operatives; sends out invitations to lefties in the West's media; they eagerly accept the invitations to sail with their Islamic hosts into an obvious trap for Israel; Israel had no choice in its action; and then the lefties do the bidding of their hosts and go about writing up lurid and inflammatory accounts of Israel's aggression. The Islamic world goes berserk, and disgusting feminist/leftist rags like the Melbourne Age aid and abet the Islamic action with the sort of reporting that they in their own terms would have denounced as anti-Semitic fifteen years ago.
What a coup for the leaders of an aggressive politico-social-cultural movement that calls itself Islam. I refer the reader to Andrew Bolt's comment which is, as usual, directly to the point and expands on what I have said.
How can the ordinary citizen in the democratic West swallow it? When year-in-year-out so-called Islamic martyrs infiltrate Israel, go directly for the innocent unarmed (like school children) blow or blast them apart, how can people not see this murderous action for what it is? How can we view news reports of a gang of psychopathic Islamic 'warriors' wandering the halls of an international hotel blasting hotel guests apart with automatic weapon, and not see it for the deliberate planned diabolic evil that it is? How can we be confronted with terrorist propaganda films of Islamic warriors hacking off the heads of innocent citizens and not realise that the person getting their head hacked off could just as easily be me? How can we watch a Palestinian holding up the shoes of his dead child for the Western cameras when we know that that dead child lying half-buried in the rubble is there because Hamas people have fired rockets willy-nilly into Israel from among concentrations of women and children?
The Left answer this by conjuring a distinction between Islamic and Islamist. This is another fraudulent verbal manoeuvre to evade the truth - and skip over the murder of their own kind while ascending the heights of pharisaical sanctimony in condemning the forced military responses of Israel. But it is more simple than that: the crowds of Muslims around the world fanatically demonstrating against Israel and the 'Great Satan' belie the self-serving distinction.
I have heard that among the radical Left there is a view that defending Islam and promoting immigration of Muslims to the West is a deft way of collapsing the traditional side of Western society that is an obstinate obstacle to remoulding society of according to the Leftist 'vision'. At the same time, according to this view, Islam will be moderated to the extent that it forms one group in a marvellous multicultural mix. If this is true, then the Left is engaged in the most diabolical subversion - something they are so good at - and cynically playing a game of high stakes.
