11 November 2009The fourth anniversary of the state killing of Nguyen Tuong Van - Singapore's government of killers is still at itIt is four years since the nation was deeply revolted by the senseless purposeless killing of a young man who made a mistake. The revulsion went across party lines, an exceptional event in Australia. The robber government of Singapore performed an act of barbarism that put it outside civil society. And they remain entirely unrepentant. They're still at it. They're still killing people for what is a problem of modern society. This is killing as a social policy - a policy for social betterment. Those stupid businessmen that run that delegitimised blood sodden island will never learn that the problem of drugs cannot be solved by killing people. The Australian government should have nothing to do with Singapore until it decides to civilise itself. Past comments. Comment: gerard@gerardcharleswilson.com |
