Change of title for novel - SEEKING THE DIVINE SPARK

From the beginning of the manuscript development review process, there were reservations about the title of my third novel. Some reviewers found it too sharp, even offensive, and thought 'Screwing a Deal' would put off some of the people who are naturally interested in what I write. I was reluctant to change it because I thought its bluntness reflected an important part of the story. Nevertheless, I have been uneasy about it. At this late stage, I have finally acknowledged that the advice to change the title is right, that it does not make sense to put off people needlessly because of an objectionable title.

After much thought I have arrived at a title that in fact better reflects the full story and adds a contrast and gentle irony that the first title does not have: SEEKING THE DIVINE SPARK.
