3 May 2009The PC-class's great wished-for messiah is a common liar after allLies do not come only in the straightforward assertion of something that one knows to be untrue. Indeed, the worst sort of deceit and deception is putting oneself forward as holding views that one in reality strenuously rejects and surreptitiously works to overthrow. The whole of one's behaviour becomes one big lie. Acting in this way in a political setting is called subversion. It's not difficult to understand why states and nations up until recently considered subversion a capital offence. Today it is a normal mode of political agitation and advancement. Lying by misrepresentation, omission and distortion are the normal mode of media policy and action, as exemplified most ably by Melbourne's Age On the occasion of President Obama's inauguration I made a fairly mild comment about the obvious inconsistency between his vigorous oft-repeated claim to be a Christian and his apparent condoning of the killing of the unborn child. I implied there was some naivety in holding such inconsistent views and that the PC-class battalions that campaigned for him would not let him forget his debt. Such a sincere (sounding) man as Obama would necessarily suffer great pangs of conscience, if forced to toe the line on the dogma of political correctness. Oh, how naive I was in this assessment. Obama is not following the PC-class's prescriptions under duress. He is way out ahead of most of them in their neat formulation and vigorous implementation. I was appalled at the rush to overturn laws preventing government subsidization of abortion around the world. What's going on, I thought? It did not take too long to see that Obama is the world's greatest pretend Christian, and that pretence has a direct and clear political objective. Christian? Obama has shown himself to more anti-Christ-like than Christ-like. In recent weeks I was thinking that I should set about cataloguing Obama's appalling record, of laying bare Obama's deliberate carefully thought out program for the crashing and burning of Western Civilization. Again, I showed some naivety. The job has already been done, and much better than I could have, by Fr Alphonse de Valk on Catholic Insight. His comment is headed Obama's first 100 days: The anti-life plan is now established This is stunning indictment of deception of the class Obama represents. I urge the reader, particularly the conservative reader, to carefully read Fr Valk's comment and to stay attuned to the agenda and action of this most deceptive (and deceitful) of US presidents. Obama may be Muslim, as some people continue to insist, but if there's one thing he's not, it's Christian - which for many is obviously his greatest recommendation.
