HMAS SYDNEY and my dad
My dad was Chief Petty Officer on the Cruiser HMAS Sydney during World War II - until its fateful voyage to the Indian Ocean where it was sunk by a German raider. Was it Providence that my father was transferred from the Sydney before its departure? Attached are links to my dad's account of his time on the Sydney and to the HMAS Sydney Association website.
