Wheedling Wayne and Jazzing Julia go into action

With the start of the federal election whistled, we can look forward to a virtuoso performance from two of the trickiest verbal manipulators [currently] in the political arena. The ALP's Wayne Swann and Julia Gillard hardly have their equal in the ability to exploit, twist or manipulate what their political opponents say.

Already Wheedling Wayne has scored a hit on John Howard for getting the official interest rate of the Reserve Bank of Australia out by 0.25%. According to Wayne, this shows how out of touch John Howard is with Australian families. I wouldn't mind betting that most of Australia's families pay no attention to what the Reserve Bank of Australia does.
