OK to rubbish Catholics, but not Muslims

Elsevier Online ran a comment (24 April) under the heading:

Exhibition homo-Mohammed also not in Amsterdam

The clever headline writer has done his job, because we in the West know immediately why the exhibition, whatever it is, is not going to Amsterdam. It's because Muslims are upset about whatever is being exhibited and have threatened violence. Once again we will have the cowardly hypocritical PC-class in Holland rudely unmasked. The report opens:

The controversial Mohammed exhibition of Iranian artist Sooreh Hera remains for the moment hidden from the public: her photos of homosexuals with masks of Mohammed and his son-in-law Ali will not be shown at the beginning of May in Amsterdam Art in the Rai [exhibition building].

The photo exhibition did the rounds of several galleries, each director caving in to Muslim intimidation, before its date with Amsterdam Art in the Rai. It's pathetic to hear the excuses the gallery directors or exhibition organisers gave for cancelling the exhibition: not enough room, unwilling to get involve in political debate... Unwilling to get involved in political debate? Don't make me laugh! "PC artist" is a tautology.

All artists these days belong to the PC-class and are ever ready to promote their rabid political views through their art. It's a reflex action to offer the most lurid representations of Christianity, particularly Catholicism, through their art. For example, "Piss Christ", whose offence to Christians filled anti-religious bigots with joy.

The modern Pecksniff is PC.

Below two of the offending photos copied from Elsevier's website:

Omstreden expositie ook niet te zien in Amsterdam          Foto Sooreh Hera

Hardly measure up to "Piss Christ", do they?
