It's been a busy year with some dramatic changes socially and politically. But it's time to take a couple of days break to contemplate what Christmas really celebrates. One of my earliest memories is of the choir at Christmas Mass singing:

Gloria in excelsis Deo. Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis - Glory to God in the highest and on Earth peace to men of good-will.
