Barmy like Bennelong or Bennelong bonkers
There have been many tributes from overseas government and international
figures to John Howard's contribution to international affairs. What must
these people think of those who replaced John Howard with a
kitchen-and-garden journalist from the state owned broadcasting company that
is famous for its arrogant sanctimonious political prejudice?
They would not say so, but they must think on the evidence that the
Bennelong electorate is barmy and bonkers. Indeed, there should be a special
phrase to describe the sort of shallowness, blind prejudice and ignorance
displayed by the people of Bennelong. I'll go for 'barmy like Bennelong' or
'Bennelong bonkers'. So when someone says or does something displaying that
sort of mindless social and political ignorance, one may comment 'you're
barmy like Bennelong' or 'it's Bennelong bonkers'.
If someone can come up with something more accurate and descriptive I am
all ears. |
