15 August 2010Know what E.M.I.L.Y'S List candidates stand forThe following is taken from the Facebook page: Voting out E.M.I.L.Y.'s List (etc) MPs in 2010-2011.
E.M.I.L.Y.'s List Australia was founded to promote a procedure which is
the single biggest humanitarian crisis in the western world, and women
are the victims. It often causes decades-long grief and trauma to
thousands of women each year, who often feel coerced into accepting a
procedure which has been described by some women as "medical rape".
E.M.I.L.Y.'s List Australia engineered and voted for the horrific 2008 Vic Abortion... laws allowing abortion up to the moment of birth. There is no requirement to offer support-counselling, tell women the risks, give medical care to children surviving till birth, or to ban partial-birth abortion. Doctors are legally forced to refer to abortionists when asked. -- **We extend our love and support to those struggling with issues relating to pregnancy or who have had an abortion in the past. Help and healing is available - don't give up hope; and don't leave this page without checking out these links (nothing to lose!) Pregnancy Counselling Australia http://www.pregnancycounse Help and hope if you have had abortions in the past: Abortion Grief Counselling Assoc Australia 1300 363 550 (24 hours) http://www.survivorsofabor see also: http://lifenetworkaustrali http://www.saltshakers.org -- Former Victorian Premier Joan Kirner has been trying to get pro-abortion people into government to legalize abortion since the 1970s. As part of this, she founded E.M.I.L.Y.'s List, a group to get its own pro-abortion elected into government, copied from the US group of the same name: "The mission is simple, really: EMILY’s List is dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women to office." http://emilyslist.org/who/ Note that Julia Gillard is one of the founding members of E.M.I.L.Y.'s List Australia. It is possible she may push for uniform national abortion laws, under the guise of a "Bill of Rights" including "reproductive rights" (i.e. abortion) after the NSW election, even if she says she won't. In her first 2 days as Prime Minister she changed the portfolio of the minister for population to the "Minister for sustainable population" (a Trojan horse for getting abortion in). Since becoming PM, she has also sought to make all Australian legislation compatible with UN statements (The UN, under the influence of US abortion giant Planned Parenthood, is attempting to impose "reproductive rights" (i.e. mainly abortion) upon developing nations see e.g. http://www.c-fam.org/publi The influence of E.M.I.L.Y.'s List members on our parliaments is many times greater than the proportion of voters who support their ideals, and they have pressurise other MPs to support them. In one state, they already control one quarter of all government ministerial positions. Their members include Julia Gillard, who was a foundation member. While E.M.I.L.Y.'s List claims to stand for "women's issues", they do not support pro-life women at all. Don't be fooled by the E.M.I.L.Y.'s List website which tries to disguise the fact that pro-"choice" is one of their three key issues. They do not support all women: only those who are pro-"choice". Women deserve real love, care and protection: they deserve better than the deliberate silence and lack of information of the abortion industry. There are already over 100 E.M.I.L.Y.'s List members who are in our Federal and state parliaments. We must not, and cannot permit them to remain there, for the sake of this and future generations: women, men and children. 2010-2011 is our chance to make a stand and vote many of them and other pro-abortion MPs (on *both* sides of politics) out, and vote in candidates who respect all human lives. Not sure what this is about? See "10 Things They Don't Want You to Find Out About Abortion" page and its wall: http://www.facebook.com/ab This page also has links to lists of their candidates. Many other MPs have publicly supported them and the 2008 Abortion bill. We encourage you to vote them out also, and vote for candidates who respect the sanctity of human life. You can express support by clicking "attending" anyway. E.M.I.L.Y.'s List claims it is "not pro-abortion, only pro-choice". There is no difference: if society allows choice of going to an abortionist who will kill a baby, this is no better than a group of young men forming a group standing for "choice to abuse Asians" or "choice to own black slaves". Arguments such as, “Women must have control over their own bodies”, and “Safe and legal abortion is every woman’s right” ignore the fact that the baby has no choice; often women are pressurized into having the abortion done (64% in the US); and that in many countries more female unborn children are killed than males. These arguments were actually invented by abortion industry chiefs in the late 1960s, who knew the arguments were was false, in order to gain public acceptance for their actions. More: http://www.wnd.com/news/ar Claiming that the government hasn't the right to regulate is a false argument. The government is representative of society - if the government allows it, we all have blood on our hands if we knowingly vote them in. == In Victoria in 2008, E.M.I.L.Y.'s List member Maxine Morand introduced radical abortion laws legally compelling doctors to either refer to an abortionist or perform the abortion themselves. The parliament rejected amendments such as: - requiring women to be told the risks of abortion - mandating that both male and female babies who survive abortion procedures be given medical care (despite Health Minister Daniel Andrews' claim that this is given automatically, 52 (incorrectly reported as 54 by the Herald Sun) of these babies survived abortions and were born in 2007, all later died post-natally). - mandatory reporting by staff of suspected of being sexual abuse - offering counselling to all women having abortions Every single E.M.I.L.Y.'s List MP present opposed these amendments http://lifevote.org.au/ Depending on your candidates, it is _possible_ that other issues may affect how you consider candidates. However, abortion causes decades-long grief and trauma to thousands of women each year, and we believe it to be the biggest single humanitarian crisis in western nations. *Respect for all human lives* is a fundamental belief, and there are only a few issues which come close in importance. We believe that without respect for life, an MP's - and society's - attitude to family, health, civil liberty, education, law enforcement, aged care, protecting children from abuse etc are fundamentally undermined and compromised. (On many issues, the differences between major parties is otherwise comparatively small anyway). == The following three parties have pro-life constitutions (alphabetical order). Do consider voting for one of these parties, **and putting the pro-abortion candidates last** (if the minor party you vote for doesn't get in, your vote goes to your second preference (etc), so don't simply follow their how-to-vote card without checking your vote won't go to pro-abortion candidates. CDP - Christian Democratic Party (a party with Christian values, founded by Fred Nile; (formerly called Call to Australia). It seeks to "support and promote pro-Christian, pro-family, pro-child, pro-life policies for the benefit of all Australians") http:/cdp.org.au/ DLP - Democratic Labor Party (had its roots in the Labour movement, split with the ALP in 1955 because of Communist influence in the ALP, upholds "the sacredness of human life, from its inception until natural death" and Christian values http://www.dlp.org.au/inde FFP - Family First (supports family values) http://familyfirst.org.au/ Seeks to "promote recognition and valuing of the inherent dignity of each human being from conception. In this context, Family First is opposed to the medical procedure of abortion." Note that the Green party has a **pro-abortion, pro-euthanasia,** pro-homosexual "marriage" agenda, and aims to foist these values on Australian families (as they began with strong connections with, and funding from, the Communist party). "The Austalian Greens will... ensure that all women have access to legal, free and safe pregnancy termination services" http://greens.org.au/polic http://www.billmuehlenberg If you habitually vote ALP or Liberal/National, please check to see whether their candidate is pro-life or not. There are pro-abortion members in both parties, although ALP has more. If they are pro-"choice", we ask you to remember the pain caused to thousands of women, men and families caused by abortion, and to humbly reconsider your vote. Putting pro-abortion candidates as second preference, after a minor party, does not help - they must go last. The ALP has a pro-abortion policy. While it is not binding on their members (ALP Constitution p. 29), there are some, but few, who stand up against abortion. E.M.I.L.Y.'s List members must be pro-"choice". Julia Gillard is pro-abortion. -- To find your Federal electorate and candidate details, including phone & email (bookmark this) - http://aec.gov.au/election Download Senate tickets (highly recommended) http://aec.gov.au/election == Known E.M.I.L.Y.'s List Federal Candidates 2010 - all are pro-abortion. There may be others who are not listed on the website (sometimes they hide). We will put them up as we search the archives. VIC Ballarat - Catherine King Dunkley - Helen Constas Indi - Zuvele Leschen Lalor - Julia Gillard **founding member** La Trobe - Laura Smyth Melbourne - Cath Bowtell Menzies - Joy Banerji Wannon - Judith McNamara NSW Bradfield - Sarah Gallard Cunningham - Sharon Bird Mackellar - Linda Beattie Macquarie - Susan Templeman (Margin 0.1%) North Sydney - Leta Webb Parramatta - Julie Owens Richmond - Justine Elliot Sydney - Tanya Plibersek QLD Bonner - Kerry Rea Bowman - Jenny Peters Capricornia - Kirsten Livermore Dickson - Fiona McNamara Wide Bay - Nikolee Ansell Senate: Jan McLucas WA Canning - Alannah MacTiernan Forrest - Jackie Jarvis Fremantle - Melissa Parke Hasluck - Sharryn Jackson Stirling - Louise Durack SA Senate: Penny Wong TAS Franklin - Julie Collins Senate: Lisa Singh ACT Canberra - Gai Brodtmann NT Senate: Trish Crossin == If you click "Attending" you can then get the word out by clicking "invite friends" (please only invite friends in Australia, and those who value all human life). *We encourage everyone to read the recently released Canberra Declaration (on religious freedom, marriage, family, and the sanctity of human life from conception). Note that the links on their website are to sites of other organizations, not of the Canberra Declaration organization itself. http://www.canberradeclara *We are not opposed specifically to the Labor or Liberal parties - although they may have policies at state or federal level which we disagree with, and want changed. There are some in the same party as E.M.I.L.Y.’s List members whom we would support. Voting against E.M.I.L.Y.'s List members will discourage their party from pre-selecting them in future, and encourage the party to adopt policies which respect human life. Depending on location, we might support candidates of different parties at federal and state levels* Note that the Greens hold a similar agenda to E.M.I.L.Y.'s List. ** Remember that how you order your preferences is important. If you do not number pro-abortion candidates last, your vote may actually go to them. This applies to the white upper house ballot paper as well.
